Launched in 2011 the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) administers the IBPS PO 2021 exam to select suitably qualified applicants for Probationary Officer in various public sector banks in India.
This exam is for applicants who want to work for one of the 11 public sector banks. All public-sector banks PNB, BOB, SBI, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, LIC & Insurance companies, and other banks that are regular members of the IBPS society that use IBPS services.
Candidate Criteria for the IBPS PO 2023 Examination:
Nationality requirement: Applicants for IBPS PO must be an Indian citizen, a subject of Bhutan, a subject of Nepal, a Tibetan refugee (who arrived in India before January 1, 1962), or a person of Indian origin (who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, Vietnam, or other countries) to set a permanent residence in India.
If an applicant is not an Indian citizen, they must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Indian government in their favor; otherwise, the offer of appointment will be withdrawn.
Age requirement: The IBPS PO test has a lower and higher age limit of 20 and 30 years, respectively. Applicants who fall into one of the reservation groups, on the other hand, are given an age exemption.
Educational Qualifications for the IBPS PO 2023 Examination:
The minimum bank PO qualification required to apply for the IBPS PO jobs is a graduation or equivalent degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Candidates who have received a CGPA or OGPA must convert it to a percentage and include it in their online application. It will also apply to universities where the class/grade is determined solely based on honors marks. The percentage arrived will be ignored, therefore 59.99 percent will be considered less than 60 percent and 54.99 percent will be considered less than 55 percent.
By the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, disabled people are given an advantage in the IBPS PO test. Aspirants who are visually impaired are permitted to use scribes if they follow the criteria.

1. Preliminary Exam

2. Main Exam
This exam consists of an objective and descriptive paper. There are 4 sections in the exam- English Language, Data Interpretation and Analysis, Reasoning and Computer Awareness, General/ Banking and Economy Awareness. Descriptive Paper has only 2 questions i.e. an essay and a letter.
Objective Paper- 155 Questions, 200 Marks
Descriptive Paper- 2 Questions, 25 Marks
If the candidate passes the objective paper, only then the descriptive paper will be reviewed.
3. Interview
To be eligible for IBPS PO, aspirants must score a minimum of 40% (35 percent for reserved candidates). The interview round will be worth a total of 100 points.
