Frequently Asked Questions on SSB Police Sub Inspector Exam

SSB stands for Sashastra Seema Bal.

The age of the candidates must not exceed 30 years.

The application fee for UR category candidates is INR 200.

The SSB SI selection process includes four stages: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST), Written Test & Skill Test.

General Knowledge, General Hindi/ English, General Maths, and Reasoning.

As per the notification, nothing is mentioned on negative markings as of now.

SSB Sub Inspector receives a monthly salary of Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 per month.

The age limit is SI Pioneer (up to 30 years), SI Draughtsman (18-30 years), SI Communication (up to 30 years), and SI Staff Nurse/ Female (21-30 years).

These include SI Pioneer (Diploma certification or complete Degree in Civil Engineering), SI Draughtsman (Matriculation or Equivalent required; A two-year National Tradesman Certificate by ITI; an ITI Diploma with a one-year AutoCAD Course), SI Communication (A regular bachelor’s degree in BSc. (PCM); Engineering Degree- BTech with CS or IT; Degree in Electronics and Communication), and SI Staff Nurse Female (Applicant should have passed 10+2 in science from a recognized board or university and must have completed the GNM Course with registration under state or central nursing council.)

The candidates must be citizens of India. 

These include GK by Arihant, Perfect Competitive English by VK Sinha, Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning by RS Agarwal, Fast Track Objective Arithmetic by Rajesh Verma, and Arihant’s General Hindi. 

SSB SI Books are easily available both online and offline.

The SSB SI Written Examination will be conducted for 100 marks. 

The training period for the candidates who get selected as SSB Sub Inspector is 11 weeks.

The candidates who are willing to apply for the post of SSB Sub Inspector should be between the age of 18 to 30 years.
