This examination, which offers 90,000 seats, is a golden ticket to getting into India’s MBBS and BDS colleges. A candidate willing to study medical courses needs to have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects in classes 10th and 12th respectively and must have passed these subjects.
With NEET being the only medical entrance examination in India, it prevents private medical colleges from conducting any entrance examination of their own. NEET also forestalls private universities from admitting those students who do not qualify to pursue Medical.
Candidate Criteria for the NEET UG 2023 Examination:
The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2023 exam is separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects
- UR – 50%,
- OBC/SC/ST – 40%,
- PWD – 45%
Question Paper Pattern for the NEET UG 2023:
The question paper would be a total of 720 marks. The Marking Scheme of the paper goes with each question and would carry 4 marks. A total of 4 marks would be given for every correct answer by the candidate. Negative Marking: One mark is to be deducted for every incorrect response given by the candidate.
