NDA (National Defence Academy) & NA (Naval Academy) exams are competitive and conducted twice a year under the supervision of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) The qualifying aspirants are then groomed to serve in the Defence and Naval Academy.

The NDA written exam carries a total of 900 points. Both papers must be qualified independently by the candidates. Paper 1 of the NDA consists of 120 questions worth 300 points, while Paper 1 of the NDA consists of 150 questions worth 600 points.
In both tests, one-third of the marks would be deducted due to negative marking, according to the NDA exam pattern 2022. Candidates who meet or exceed the NDA 2022 cutoff will be invited to the SSB interview as part of the NDA recruitment procedure.
NDA SSB Interview: SSB interviews will be held at several selection centres for applicants who pass the NDA exam 2022. The NDA SSB Interview is a five-day selection procedure that takes place at Indian Armed Forces screening centres.
The first day of the NDA SSB consists of the Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PPDT) and the Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIRT) (OIR). On the first day, shortlisted candidates are kept at the selection centre for the next four days.
